Bingo is for lagers, and when it’s time for the German beer celebration, Starkbierzeit, you want a big one. So we took our seriously-to-style doppelbock base and aged it in select port-finished whiskey casks for months in an extended riff on the time, care, patience that lager brewing requires. The result is a smooth, full bodied beer with notes of dark fruit, oak, sweet dessert wine, and of course, bourbon. All complemented by toasty, nutty Munich malt & loads of bready melanoidens. We love the way the subtle interplay of all of these elements comes together, and think you will too.
